# Ownership, incentives, and how we publish

> VendorCadReviews.com is owned by VendorCAD. This page discloses ownership, incentives, claim rules, and publishing standards.

**Updated:** 2026-08-01

**Canonical:** https://vendorcadreviews.com/trust/

## The short version

This is a manufacturer evaluation hub **published by VendorCAD** — not an independent review magazine or lab. Ownership is disclosed in the site header and on every page so readers can weight recommendations accordingly.

## Who publishes this site

| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Publisher | VendorCAD |
| Site purpose | Help manufacturers evaluate CAD-backed product configurators |
| Primary commercial CTA | Book a demo on [vendorcad.com/demo](https://vendorcad.com/demo/#book-call) |
| Soft entry | [Designed-In Checklist](https://vendorcad.com/resources/designed-in-checklist/) |
| Contact | contact@vendorcad.com |

## Incentives

This is **owned media** — there is no affiliate commission maze and no separate “editorial vs commerce” wall.

- If a manufacturer books a walkthrough or starts a Validation Pilot, VendorCAD may earn revenue from that relationship.
- Pages exist to educate and invite qualified conversations — not to harvest fake star ratings.
- We do **not** sell placements, sponsored “#1 badges,” or paid ranking slots on this domain.

For peer reviews from many verified customers, use platforms that verify reviewers (for example G2 / TrustRadius-class sources).

## What evidence we use

Public VendorCAD product claims on this site are limited to capabilities verified for advertising use, including:

1. Buyer-facing share links show the manufacturer brand
2. Password-protected publish links work
3. Invalid configurations are blocked before export
4. Manufacturing STEP download when validation passes
5. Quote requests land in the manufacturer App inbox
6. Seller can be notified by email when a quote is submitted
7. Live 3D preview updates when parameters change

We soften delivery and packaging language (pilot timelines, pricing hypotheses) and refuse ROI, win-rate %, “any CAD format,” native SOLIDWORKS drawings as a V1 promise, and named customer logos without permission.

See [Methodology](/methodology/) for claim and comparison rules.

## Publishing standards

| Practice | How we apply it |
|---|---|
| Incentive disclosure | Ownership + CTA disclosure on every page |
| Methodology | Claim rules + comparison rules |
| Competitor fairness | DriveWorks strengths stated explicitly where relevant |
| Corrections | Email path below; dated notes on Changelog |
| Evidence over adjectives | Verified capability table; no invented scores |
| No fake peer corpus | We publish no user star ratings |

## What we do not publish

- Independence claims for this site as a magazine or awards body
- Invented customer logos, review scores, or “trusted by N manufacturers”
- Hidden VendorCAD CTAs behind neutral-sounding rankings
- “Best” / “#1” without a stated criteria frame
- Buyer confirmation emails, white-label engines, or any-CAD-format exports as shipping promises

## How to use these pages

- **Category education** — definitions, Time-to-Quote framing, designed-in STEP workflow, comparison tables with tradeoffs
- **VendorCAD capability facts** — only the verified claim set above; confirm in a live walkthrough
- **Peer proof** — we do not invent a third-party review corpus; use verified-reviewer platforms when that is what you need

## Corrections and updates

Email **contact@vendorcad.com** with subject `Reviews correction`. Material fixes get a dated note on the affected page and in [Changelog](/changelog/).
